Lacey Peschel, originally from a small town in Texas, is a freelance trumpeter and private educator in the San Antonio and New Braunfels areas. Mrs. Peschel is currently pursuing a Doctor of Musical Arts degree from the University of Memphis. She has received a master's degree from Texas A&M University - Kingsville and a bachelor's from Texas Lutheran University.
During her time in Memphis, Mrs. Peschel had the opportunity to teach across the Memphis area as well as perform with a variety of professional groups including the Memphis Symphony Orchestra, the Memphis Jazz Orchestra, and the Corinth Symphony Orchestra. In 2024, Mrs. Peschel was a quarterfinalist in the National Trumpet Competition as a soloist and a semifinalist in 2022 with the Jalisco Trumpet Ensemble, who placed third in 2021.
Mrs. Peschel's teaching style is built around the needs of each student, focusing on building a strong foundation while shaping a love for music and performing. Her goals with teaching focus on helping students think critically and responsively, while gaining the confidence and skills to perform in any musical situation.
