Carlos Cody Mata, a native of Eagle Pass, Texas, earned a bachelor’s of music performance from West Texas A&M, and a Master of Music in performance from West Texas A&M. 

Mr. Mata has taught private lessons in the Amarillo and San Antonio area for the last 7 years. He has also held positions with the Amarillo Symphony Orchestra as substitute principal contrabassoon, West Texas A&M University Symphony Orchestra as principal bassoonist, and played with University of Incarnate Word Symphony as principal bassoonist.

Mr. Mata is a member of the International Double Reed Society, and Texas Music Educator Association.
